I just talked to a couple mitsu parts guys at various dealerships, and they tell me the RS has the same turbo as the GSR. This differs from the Euro/Jap market in that (at least I have read) the RS has the titanium impeller turbo, the GSR does not. Makes you wonder what other differences there are between the US and Euro/Jap RS models.....

 

The U.S. RS is just the regular GS-R stripped of options with a front LSD and a rear trunk brace. That's it.

 

I agree, the JDM RS has many more differences when compared to the JDM GSR.

Jap RS doesn't come with these:
ACD
AYC
ABS
Airbags
Brembo's
Recaro's
Aircon
6speed gearbox
17" wheels
Electric windows

But in japan everything taken off is an option so you can choose to have the brembos and recaro's or even aircon if you want.
