I've read where the 2005 MR will be 300 lbs lighter. How? And how much lighter will the RS be with it's alloy trunk lid and thinner glass? It seems the RS should be at least 100 lbs lighter than the MR. Thanks!

 

I am willing to bet my 2003 evo that there is no possible way a 2005 will be 2-300 lbs lighter than a 2004, no possible way with the items that they have listed. I am with you on this one, if a stripped rs with no mechanical goodies is only 88 lbs lighter, no way a 2005 mr is going to be 200-300 lbs lighter with electonic differential weighing more and all the power features added back in , the hids etc.... The car would almost have to be 100% aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber to save 300 lbs off a 2003/2004. Just my 2 cents, we will see when it actually arrives in the U.S.
