difference evo viii <-> evo viii mr rs
difference evo viii <-> evo viii mr rs
Hi!
I've been able to test the EVO VIII (265bhp in belgium) last tuesday and I must say that I was very disappointed after driving it for a whole day.
I couldn't find the 'hardcoreness' of my EVO VI RS2..
- Sport ABS does really suck: you can't decide when you want to brake and how hard
- Electronics (SAYC): it does all the work for you, when ending up in gravel the back/tail of the car is forced to find some grip, so it doesn't do the full drift anymore.
My question: I've informed to buy myself a VIII MR RS (280bhp), but will that car make the difference over the normal EVO VIII?
I want a hardcore EVO again, one where the driver needs to the drive, and not the way around..
The problem is that I can't drive a LHD EVO VIII MR RS to test it, I may already be happy that I can order it from Ralliart Germany or Xtreme UK...
But it's a big cost if the car really disappoints..
Thanks,
Kevin

We don't get the MR RS in the states. You may need to find a UK or Japanese site. The RS is just a lightweight VIII, the MR has a few features over the regular VIII. I don't think in stock trim the MR RS would be anywhere near as hard core as the VI or TME.

the Evo MR that the states is getting is going to have most of those same features you said you didn't like, I'm not sure if the rs version of it your getting over there is much different. But if you don't like the ABS brakes or the traction control systems I would say you will probably not like the Evo MR as much as the Evo VI
