Just talked to a friend "in the know at Mitsu" and he said that the MR will be heavier than the other Evos.
These are the weights I was told:
Evo RS - 3219
Evo GSR - 3263
Evo MR - 3285
I was under the impression that with the lighter wheels and aluminum roof, the car would be lighter. Could the sunroof be "mandatory" on the Evo MR?

no, the MR will be lighter then the GSR of equivalent option by about 50 lbs I believe.... the GSR weight you posted may be weight before carbon fiber spoiler plus sunroof....
