new evo.

hey everybody,
new owner of a 2004 weightless white evo. comes here tommorow, and i can't wait. i feel bad because it's such a great car and i feel as though im undeserving, especially since my dad drives a not-so-great car. we got 29k out the door for it for just a stock basic evo from union city mitsu and 1200 a year for insurance.

Be careful, and realize you need to learn how to drive 271 horsepower before you spend a dime on aftermarket equipment.

Also, Im sure I speak for current and future Evo owners when I say take it easy in that car, insurance already is a tough thing to swallow on the Evo, lol.

Good luck and welcome.

what other cars have you driven? if you've never owned a turbo car before, then dont forget to warm it up before you drive it and let it sit for a minute before you shut it off.

oh, and don't forget the 600 mile break-in period.

oh, and have fun!

That because your NOT worthy. I'm just yankin your chain. I feel the same way, though my car is the fastest of my family's rides, my parents don't drive klunkers either. So it almost evens out.

thanks everyone, just came back from getting used to this car with a wrx friend. this car is amazing. very happy with it. what are your guys' take on break-in? currently my bro-in-law wants me to redline it generously and let the rpms range vary, rather than sticking it in one set all the time. i trust him with cars more than anybody else, just want to see what you guys are doing. heh i need more practice shifting smoothly. im too mechanical.
