What makes a moderator a moderator?
What makes a moderator a moderator?
Just wondering, how do the moderators get appointed? Do they make money? Dunno, but I do know on www.srt4forums.com, they are elected. IS that how it works here?

we are appointed
Mark (KK on the board) is the owner and adminstraitor of Evolutionm. he is the one who appoints the mods and basically have the final say on what goes on this board (altough he does consult with us

No.. but seriously.. being a mod is not all the fun and games that everyone thinks it is. I mod on clubsi.com (resident boost/turbo expert) and its almost more of a hassle then a privelege at least half the time. People just don't realize all the time and effort extra that has to be put in just to keep things running, current, and not boring. I especially feel for the admins who run the site because god knows dealing with script kiddies gets old... lol
Over moderated? Is that even possible? A well run board should be moderated by enough people to keep things civil and productive without every mod always present and doing their job. I personally have only been surfing for a couple of months now (clubsi bastard step child since I sold my beast si) and I can't agree with this...

). the only people that we ban or timeout are people who simply can't play by the rules even after several warnings. if you are a good member than you will get the best from us and from the rest of the members. if all you want to do is cause trouble than this will not be tolarated. you also have to understand that by causing trouble, you are disrespecting us and Mark. like i have said, we do this because we would like to see this place grow and we want this place to be the best that it can. we do not get paid we do not have to do this.....
