How many evos produced in 2003

i was wondering if anyone has or knows final production numbers on the u.s imported evos?
breakdown by colors?

Good question...I think it's about 5000 or so for 2003...would be nice to find some exact figures...

I've heard something around 6000. I think they are going to build less for the 04/05 years also.

This is second hand information, I have not verified it. I've been told that WRC requires a certain number of a "production variant" for any car that participates in the Manufacturer's Cup. The number I was quoted was a total run of about 9000 (I've heard two numbers 8000 or 10000) half of which were originally destined for the US. However, when they basically sold out in Japan, some number were "redistributed" prior to actual production to Japan

Again, second hand information, if somebody knows this is wrong, I'd like to know.
