you will have more parts avialble for the itr...but take into consideration that the car might have been ran to hell by the previous owner....my advice get the oz rally turbo the car...and you'll be happier

You also have to throw in the paranoia along w/ owning an ITR. If I had one, I definitely would not drive it everywhere. ITRs have to be the most sought after car by thieves I've ever heard of!

Type R hands down in EVERY aspect. ITR was my previous car, and it was an AWESOME car. I would've kept it if I could.

And since you're even asking the question, just buy the Lancer OZ. I don't mean to be pig headed or arrogant, but if you don't know what you are getting into when you're buying a Type R, don't buy it. That's just my opinion.

As someone said before, theft is a big issue.

Those 2 cars are definitely not even in the same class. Type R compare to a Lancer OZ? Of course the ITR is a better car, no questions ask. Although, many saids the ITR is very attractive to thief, my friend has a ITR for a few years now and no one has ever even attempted to steal it. I guess it really depends on the location???? But anyways, the ITR gets my vote although I really don't think much of it.

wow, so does that mean you can spank an evo also?
we seen type R kill the evo already

back on topic.
for safety, i say go with the lancer.
owning a Type R is very dangerous.
1. drag racing at every light
2. cop will be keeping their eyes on you
3. your car will most likely get stolen for your engine
4. its true, the previous owner have abuse the car already

my friend had a Type R also. it was stolen n rip apart within the first year.
