People with Modded EVO's

I was just wondering if you've paid off the car yet or you guys just doing small parts at a time? I look around and just about everyone got a 35R turbo EVO around here! Well i just got mine and i dont have any money, so im kinda jelous thats all. maybe i should pay off at least half before i go mod crazy.

i just bought my car, and i have about 11k out on loans. the rest was from my pocket. however, i did buy the minor stuff such as exhaust, xede and intake.

financed the whole car, then refinanced my house to pay for mods. I know it's stupid, but I will be the first to admit that I have a problem.

Financed my car for 5 years. Way I mod my car is, ill put a a few mods on my Credit card and wont buy anything else till I pay it off. Worked so far, as soon as these rims are paid off its time for a new turbo.

lol- it would be nice, but most people have not ugraded their turbo. as for keeping an evo stock after purchase, i have yet to see or hear of one.

First of all, you've bought a depreciating "asset" (nearly every car is) and mods don't add to the value, in fact they detract from it. So, I wouldn't rush into spending thousands on mods if you can't afford it.....in many cases, ill-conceived mods can make the car perform poorly and nullify large parts of your warranty.

An internet forum is a very insular medium; it's very easy to get caught up in the hype of trying to keep up with your peers. Do what makes you happy and what makes the car happy.....are you trying to build a track monster or a better-performing daily driver? Choose your mods wisely and to suit your budget; the Evo is a fantastic car straight out the box, believe it or not.

Depreciating asset...what's that?

Admitting you have a problem is the first step. I don't know what the next step is, enjoy your mods? :D

May sound oxymoronic, but it's something that is decreasing in value with time rather than increasing ;)
