New to DSM's but I am open minded
I got an Evo 8 a few weeks ago and so far so good. It handles like a dream but parts are so expensive. I look forward to getting some healthy power out of it. In the long run i want 400whp and I am willing to do what it takes to do it right. I have some decent knowledge of turbos but any help is appreciated. Just thought I would say hi.

thanks man, i am new to this stuff.

Did you say parts were expensive? Are you sure you were looking at Evo parts?
For $1200, you can put down 300whp. for $2000, you can put down 340whp. For $2500, you can put down 370whp. For $3000, you can get closer to 400whp while still on the stock turbo. That doesn't sound expensive to me... |
With the right parts warrtalon is right....
|
Hrm... lets see, the Evo is not a DSM, DSM actually changed its name in 1995 (<--nitpicking) and the last of the cars reffered to as a DSM ceased production in MY99. Also, you car doesn't exist, there is no such thing as an '03 Evo VIII RS. :p

I don't understand the "New to DSMs" part? You don't think Evos are DSMs, do you?
|
Congrats on the Evo. I'd say take Warrtalon's advice. If you pick your parts right, you'd get to 400whp spending minimum cash.

Welcome to EvoM.
Man you guys are rough on the NOOB's! |
follow Warrtalon, he's the man, if I had known what he does I would've gone his way when I started
