It's official!

Well finally, after countless hours of research, a lot of decision making, and a bunch of b/s with my dealer, I picked up my WW Evo IX w/ SSL! I got her with 46 miles, and when I finally stopped driving her for the night she had 179 miles on the ticker.
The best part is I've still got my gsx which is going to be a summer tracker, winter beater, and anywhere I'll be around ignorant people that are going to back into her like my gsx a 1/2 dozen times.

Congrats...I got my WW IX about 4 weeks ago. You're in for a treat ;)

Smart men.

What's up with the "28" names? {mrt}

sblvro Jun 30, 2006 04:20 PM

:rolleyes: 28 y/o {pcfreak}

Warrtalon Jun 30, 2006 04:31 PM

So...they change their username every year?

Wolf28 Jun 30, 2006 04:35 PM

No, haha, 28 was my dads racecar number when I was growing up and I've adopted it for sports, etc...

Besides...I'm only 27

I was 4g63t28 on some other forums because that's the turbo I have on my gsx. I thought it was kind of clever. I was going to change my name to stevo9, but I couldn't figure out how to do it.

On a side note, do these brakes ever get better. I'm just about to hit 300 and I'm going to try to bed them in some, but they don't stop anywhere near as good as they should.

T28 = a good replacement for 2nd gen DSM's stock turbo

congrats on the car btw.

From the pics of my gutted and straight-piped GSX you can probably see why I'm luvin' the SSL. I'll get some more pics of the Evo when I get more time.

Those brakes are some of the best in the business. They are far superior to those on most cars. I've set some really fast lap times with 100whp over stock while still using the stock rotors, pads, and lines (upgraded fluid).

XK120 Jul 2, 2006 02:14 PM

awesome! where in ct are you? I have a WW IX w/SSL as well and love it!

4g63t28 Jul 2, 2006 05:42 PM

I'm in woodbury, ct about 20min outside of waterbury.

As far as the brakes go...I'm just about to hit 600 miles. They stop pretty good when I stomp on them, but they really seem to lack initial bite which makes them kind of unpredictable to me, but I'm still getting used to the car. It drives so much different than my GSX.

What is the "WW" and "SSL"? I'm new to this world...

gsrboi80 Jul 4, 2006 02:22 PM

WW= Wicked White or Weightless White for 03-04 EVO's
SSL- Sun, Sound, Leather.
