Newbie Here: Eclipse 2.4, Evo's Stepsister

Hi Evo guys and gals! :)

I dont actually own an Evo or Lancer; but at least I own a mitsubishi. I have a 2002 Eclipse GS with the SOHC 2.4L. My Eclipse is kind of like the bastard-step child to the Evo. You guys get all the good go-fast goodies; while I am stuck with a painfully slow 140hp dog that cant get out of its own way. :crap:

However, not all is lost. Through the reasearch and pioneer spirit of a select few in the 3g eclipse community, it has been discovered that numerous parts off of the Evo are a direct swap to the 3g. At least two individuals have swaped the Evo DOHC cylinder head on to our 2.4l block with astounding sucess. In addition, the Evo Brembo brakes are a direct swap to our cars, and even the ecu's are nearly identical.

I hope to learn from you all as much as I can about the Evo and apply that knowledge to my own mitsu; and eventually transform my car in to a performance beast.

Glad to be here. :mitsu:

Where can you find more information on this head swap. Hmmm, will the V6 with the head swap fit in the Evo?

BTW, nice looking car.

Here are some threads about what they have been doing with the Eclipse on www.club3g.com

I seriously doubt that a V6 will fit in the Evo. Plus, you really wouldnt want to do that anyway. ;)
