05 Evo VIII MR Q's, possibly purchasing
 

Good afternoon,

Ive owned a cobalt SS/SC (2006) for 3 years now and it has always popped the dipstick out and sprayed oil all over the engine and chevy cant fix it. They have replaced the engine and it still does it so im looking to trade it in for http://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/ctd/1167597843.html

it looks like it has a TON of mods, im going to swing by today to look at the car but do you see anything that I should worry about? Also they say its a MR but the shifter only has 5 speeds isnt the MR supposed to be 6? Thanks for any info on this.

its probably not an mr because it doesnt say under the shifter an everything looks like regular viii interior so ill say its an error on their part and its an regular gsr

ya the ss/sc is just trash when it comes to modding it doesnt take them well at all

doesnt strike me as a properly maintained evo... and yes, it doesnt look like an MR. but hey go check it out, who knows.... not that much could be told just from a few pics...

check it out good. white is def a nice color btw there's little bit of weird gap up front with the hood - is it still opened?

im not sure, im just concerned it looks majorly modded and the price is low so its making me think someone got rid of a problem...

yea it only has a 5 speed so im assuming its a gsr, its also got the check engine light on is that common with mods?

the check engine light is probably from the turboback exhaust unless he doesnt have one then its something else

It did, but they are extremely rare, as are the red ones that year. It was the first Evo to be offered in GG and every dealer everywhere ordered it in GG making the other two colors almost like unicorns.
