I'm lost. Sunroof delete and interior question
 

I'm considering an 8 or 9 again, but I'm looking for the black interior (NOT leather) and sunroof delete. I know I do not want the SSL package.

I think I want an MR without SSL assuming that gets me where I want to be? When I hit autotrader I keep running into an occasional MR with the blue interior? How did that happen?

The 8 MR has the blue interior. The 9 has the black interior.

I think you're confused. The SSL stands for Sun Sound and Leather so if you do NOT want a sunroof or leather you want a regular GSR, NOT a SSL equipped car.

As for the blue seats, they are on all 03-05 model year cars, the 06 IX's received updated seats so even if it's an 05MR it will still have the old blue seats.

If you get an MR you are stuck with the 6 speed trans.

Blue seats are on 03-04 model. 05-06 ssl has the leather package.

^04 had an SSL option also. Assuming the interior wasnt swapped before they traded in the car evo interiors are as follows:

03-05 have blue cloth
06 has black seats
The only other variances are that 04-06 has an SSL package which includes leather seating. There is also an SE model aka 2006.5 which has special red stitching on the seats.

Mmmm... red stitching.....

So all I need is any 06 without SSL, whether it is MR or not?

Finally, if I get an MR and cook the 6spd, is there any drama around sourcing and installing a 5spd?
