Yep, I'm a Newb!
Hi, I'm Arrowpoint and I bought a 2010 MR a little over a week ago. I traded my modded Mazdaspeed 3 for it and I'm pretty happy with the Evo. I've been browsing several Evo forums for a few months now and I chose this one because you seem to have a larger technical info base than any other I've found. I'm very interested in what hard parts are best on the MR and what the SST can handle. I tuned the MS3 using a Cobb AP and ATR software so I am leaning toward Cobb because I'm familiar with it.
I'm looking forward to learning from everyones opinions and experience on this forum. Any suggestions will be met with an open mind and will be greatly appreciated! |
welcome to the forum arrowpoint
post some pics of your evo the Cobb Ap is pretty popular on here, and there are a few mods you might want to do before getting a tune if you have any questions, send me a pm and Phil can take care of you or you can give him a call at the number below -anthony |
Welcome. I traded in my Mazda 3 for a 2010 X GSR SSS. A guy I know who has a Evo X traded in his Mazda3 Speed. Guess it's quite common.

Thanks for the welcome. Anthony, I talked with Phil yesterday. He's a nice guy to work with! I ordered the AP from him. I'm going to get that for now and order Access Tuner Race so that I can get some base logs to study and see what tables can be worked on with the software. I asked him to make a mod path for me that includes hard parts that are compatible with the OTS maps from Cobb so that I can use those maps as base line maps.
