Hey guys! Just bought an 03 Evo 8 about a week ago after trading in my mazdaspeed3. Absolutely love it! Pulls harder, handles better, just a solid car. Picked it up used for 16,999 at a local used dealer. Clean title and carfax. Has some issues that need fixed but nothing I can't handle :)

Biggest is the transfer case. It's loud as hell and needs replaced. Past that just a lack of basic maintenance, but nothing irreversible. Just not quite as meticulous about maintenance as I am lol. Other small things, like a few the lights in the gauge cluster don't work, and the horrid wiring on the stereo that I pulled out today. Previous owner seems to have been a bit of a ricer. Street glow neon tubes EVERYWHERE. Pulled all the interior stuff out today, and am going to do the exterior bulbs (on side skirts and front bumper) tomorrow. All in all though, I'm happy with it. Oh also has a really low idle when it's warm, likes to stall on me. Is there an idle valve on these like with hondas? Or is it just as as simple as turning a screw?

No joke. I have one other friend in Salem that has one like mine, but without the spoiler. Tuned by English Racing. Hauls! Runs at woodburn regularly. She's pretty chill. Past that I think I saw one or two where I live and that's about it.
