I'm the new FNG
 

Hello everyone!

My name is David, im new here to the forum. Im from Minneapolis, Minnesota im 20 years old and currently in my sophomore year of college. I would like to say that the Evo is my favorite car ever :mitsu:, for instance if i won or was given a lamborghini, i would sell it and buy an evo and put the rest of the money under the hood :D and maybe pay off some bills or something. I know how to maintain a car and fix the easy stuff (valve cover gasket, breaks, misfire etc) and ive researched hard into the performance and aftermarket world but seeing as how im just about to enter it, i dont have very much experience under my belt.

Anyways ill let you know right away that i dont currently own an evo, but im looking to buy one next spring. I currently drive a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS its my first car and ive always been a car enthusiast, i love cars and racing and monkeying under the hood. My eclipse is all riced out but tastefully (keep in mind i bought it this way) its got the full (ugly to most) blitz kit, lowered to about 5 inches off the ground, aftermarket hood, fenders, and wing, R-tech racing rims 18inch with Falken ziex ZE-512's. Oh and its got lamborghini doors (again the car came with these rofl) The only mods are a Naxos high flow muffler with 3 inch tip (gives a nice humm and doesnt sound like a beater honda civic). K&N drop in filter, NGK Iridium plugs and wires (mostly for fuel efficiency as it is my DD).

I got the car for 6.5k with only 57k miles on it (so i didint pay for all the mods on it pretty much paid for the car with low mileage) so i took it and stopped my search for a 2g eclipse that wasnt beat to **** or high mileage. I stopped modding my eclipse when i realized the money ide have to put into it to make it decently fast would exceed the cost of a evo that comes with twice the power, turbo charged, and all wheel drive with an amazingly nice platform to mod/build on.

I like to do things right the first time, my motto is go big or go home. I'm the kind of person who always welcomes constructive criticism and is always looking to learn something new. Im looking to make some friends on here and join the Evo community as im hunting hard to get my first evo and take it to the next level.

Your deployed in afghan? well ide like to thank you for serving our country. Im thinking about joining the army, go the sniper route, but i wanna be the first in my family to go to and finish college and see where that takes me first.
