New to Evo's need help!
 

Hi I bought an '03 Evo 8. For what I have read the evo will give you around 325 to 350 miles per gallon. Mine is giving me 220. For what I have seen when you touch the gas pedal the afr gauge will go in down to the 11 sometimes 10. I think that is super rich and that with the pedal not even half way if I go all the way down forget it. The car has a full tbe, I think it has cams (cuz the sound it makes) forge bov(recirculated one), forge manually boost control(set up at 20psi) I did a tune and felt better the guy that did it told me the prior tune was like 5 years old and now it has the most up to date tune. But I didnt see any gas improve. I'm a speed limit driver I bought the car cuz I like it and always want one. Can you guys help me here? Thanks

What you got per tank of gas which is 220 miles or so is what it does. My 03 did about 190 per tank of gas when I bought it new and improved to 220 miles after the tune up and minor mods. Whoever gave you the impression that it does over 300 had got it wrong.

220 bang on in town. 300 highway

I've seen as few as 180 with spirited city driving with a full tank, and as many as 220-230 if I'm careful.

Highway I've seen between 280-350. It's all in how heavy your foot gets. I see the worst mileage in the winter, which is to be expected.

Cool! I just want to make sure that everithing is good with the car. I just dont believed the first thing I read that's why I ask you guys you know more than me when it comes to this cars. I'll be doing the timing belt pretty soon cuz I dont know if the previous owner did it also all the fluids.

lol i got 110 miles city, (with alot of racing) but my 9 mr can do 250 city, try puting some treatment in ur gas it will help.
