Nice buddy. In the market for the same wheels. Just made my decision a whole lot easier. What size tires you running? Any rubbing at all? Looks awesome!

Thanks man. I actually was rubbing a little but I adjusted it to where theres clearance. Also im running stock 235/45zr17's I want maybe 235/40r17 or 245/40r17 though.

And oh yeah bKevo definitely worth it lol.

Hey congrats on getting your Lancer Evolution! Its super clean! My current tire size is 245/45R17 on stock rims and they are pretty good.

4RETECH May 10, 2013 04:53 AM

Congratulations.

Thats another size im debating on. Im only worried on clearance with the sidewall.

Thanks 4retech.

I see what you mean. You must have an aggressive drop if you are rubbing on stock sized tires. Im running Tanabe GF210 springs and they give a 1.5" drop in the front and a 1" drop in the rear. I get no rubbing with those springs although driveways and ramps are horrible..... I cant help but hear scraping from my front splitter.

I see why you would want to run a 40 aspect ratio though. I would try to stick with a 45 aspect ratio so that the overall circumference of your wheel/tire combo is as close to stock as possible and without going undersized compared to stock.

Yeah its pretty aggressive. I might go 255/40 to compensate for the sidewall a bit more.gotta touch up the suspension a bit. I think it "rubs" on the fender cover cause the clips missing and zip ties arent enough.

And thank you misterevo8!!

CN9Adaiski May 13, 2013 09:04 PM

255/40R17 is a good spec.
Its pretty close to the stock size when mounted on your current tires.

If you are choosing tires for your current rims, that setup gets my vote.
