So I've been a member since 2009 but this is my first post.... finally got my evo!!! Bought me a 06 Evo mr on 4/4/13 at time of purchase car only had a intake dp hfc and catback. In this last month I've been putting a lot of work into it. Ill list everything I've done to it in this month. Granted some of the dsm parts are interchangeable so I save a few bucks there.
-Aeromotive fpr -Fic 850's -Walbro 255 -Ets intercooler(being modified to work) -battery relocation -kelford 272:s -sound systen -gates timing & balance belt -all pulleys for timing job -All seals in head -Gsc beehive springs -New lifters -Ksport coilovers (idc what people may say but they ride awesome) -rota grids hyperblack 17x9 +25 -35% window tint -Grimmspeed mbc -aem wideband -prosport boost gauge -Prosport oil pressure gauge -white leds -Greddy turbo timer -Megan o2 housing -Map test pipe ... maybe more just cant remember. Also took the wing off yesterday, buying a lip spoiler for a cleaner look imo. |

Nice buddy. In the market for the same wheels. Just made my decision a whole lot easier. What size tires you running? Any rubbing at all? Looks awesome!

Thanks 4retech. |
I see what you mean. You must have an aggressive drop if you are rubbing on stock sized tires. Im running Tanabe GF210 springs and they give a 1.5" drop in the front and a 1" drop in the rear. I get no rubbing with those springs although driveways and ramps are horrible..... I cant help but hear scraping from my front splitter.
I see why you would want to run a 40 aspect ratio though. I would try to stick with a 45 aspect ratio so that the overall circumference of your wheel/tire combo is as close to stock as possible and without going undersized compared to stock. |
nice clean lookin evo. good pick up!

255/40R17 is a good spec.
Its pretty close to the stock size when mounted on your current tires. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html If you are choosing tires for your current rims, that setup gets my vote. |
Car looks clean and it's sexy
