What next??
 
OK so I am the proud owner of a 2014 GSR with a Works short shifter, ETS quiet Exhaust and Whiteline sway bar (rear). Test pipe is coming...so my question is...
Should I....


1. Completely mod the car... turbo, intercooler, downpipe, tune etc. for about 400whp or...
2. Slightly mod the car...downpipe, tune, air intake...etc. for about 320whp


I've been told to do the mods stage by stage...what is your opinion.

Why not own the car for a bit and see what you want to add to it first? You may not want 400hp after driving for a bit.

number 1, and add some cams and some sort of boost control.

Cams are a good addition to big modding.

Definitely drive a bit and see how you like the car first!

I would then recommend some sort of tuning software to get your feet wet. Max out what you have first, then grow.

how you doing man test the car and get use to it first. After start with small modifications like intercooler and piping,intake,boost controller, o2 housing, pump injector if you want to go E85. you cant get 400 whp with small mods. then if you like it.vthen you start opening the engine. but if you going to do that buy the parts first and put everything at the same time don't waste time and money.

Some newer Evo X owners actually barely mod their cars (Man u got an EVO, this thing is designed to go faster than stock).....but to each their own, depending on main use/long term goals. I honestly think you should ride in/drive a 400+ whp Evo, then drive yours.....if you like what you go back to (Which I highly doubt), then keep it in its current state, if not, then let the modding begin,

PS. And once you start...........its a fun expensive ride

Congrats on the new power. Modding is addictive! E85, if available, is a great bang for the buck and you should consider that next.

Modifying a car is every owner's ultimate fantasy, you have full control over everything if you're able to afford it both in cost, time, and risk. Being turboed multiplies the risk factor but the benefits as well.

You can start small and go from there, like an intake, springs/coilovers, sway bars and such which won't break your wallet and can give you small gains. Or go big and get it turboed but it'll be a pretty penny. You have to get it tuned and dynoed and all your systems would need an upgrade, from fuel lines, intercooler, spark plugs, intake, oil lines, and more depending on how much you boost.
