Been stalking, thought I'd introduce myself!
Hello everyone! I'm Nate, from parker, Colorado. I don't have an Evo yet but ever since the sti and Evo came out (ahem I had just started high school...) I had always liked the Evo more for some reason.
After stalking the forums and doing obsessive amounts of research, I've realized why I've always felt that way!. Not only do these cars look so good!!! They respond ridiculously well to modifications. I currently have a 2004 cobra with a couple mods as my daily/only car lol along with a 76mm precision waiting to go on. I have a wedding coming up and am gonna buy a house before I get a second car (so I can turbo the cobra) but I need to make sure it's a car I want! I really want an Evo 9 but if I find an Evo 8 I'll still be very happy. I really want to shoot for 400whp (or at least 350) on the stock turbo. After the cobra gets its attention, I wanna do a buschur 2.3 and go for 600whp. The Evo will be my daily at this point. Couple questions that I wasn't able to find info for: At 400whp, I know I'll need a pump, but will I need injectors? (Will be on 91. Maybe.... e85.) At 600whp will I need to change the lines? When do those even need changing? At that level I will for sure be e85. My understanding of the driveline (minus the clutch) is as long as there's no shock and you pre load it as much as you can, it should last totally fine? Even at 600whp? Sorry for my noobness! I'll be ready to buy an Evo sometime next year and then I'm sure I'll be an avid poster lol. Thanks for looking. -Nate |
