Help! I don't know how to drive!

Need help guys, im new here, My evo 9 having this isseu, when i press in the clutch under boost the rpm shoot up to red line, it only happining on wot, when your at 5000k or higer, my mods are exhaust manifold, o2 dump, 3"down pipe with hfc, hks ssqv4 bov, prerrin intake, ets fmic kit, grim speed boost controler, any body had this issue? thank you in advance

Is your bov working correctly? I ask because if you have no drive train pressure and you still have boost going to the engine that would cause your issue. Just a guess.

Ok, ill try to swap a stock bov, to see what will happen, thanks for the reply

Wait, are you saying you just push in the clutch while full throttle and boost? Obviously if you push in the clutch while your acclerating with the gas pedal, your rpms are going to shoot up....

Not sure if this is a serious thread.

Ok, let say im on 2nd or 3rd gear, if i push in the clutch pedal, without pressing the gas, the rpm hoot up to red line, Only happen on high rpm 5000rpm or more.

sticky throttle plate?

Is this a troll thread? I imagine your mashing the gas then slamming your clutch to the floor. do this 10x and boom lol.

Hi,

Ask a friend who drives a stick shift to drive your car. It the RPM shoots up when he/she is driving while shifting, have a competent mechanic check out your car. You do not what to drive the car for long if you are challenging the RPM limiter on every shift.

Never happened to me, when I first drove a stick back a while back I could never bang gears really good and ended up gassing it and pressing the clutch at the same time and ended up red lining it.
Thank god it wasn't an evo lol.

Evo_9ssl Jul 11, 2016 05:24 PM

Yah! this is not a driving issue, i own two evos and my 03 evo 8 never had this problem!

gray-fox Jul 15, 2016 11:26 PM

lol are you sure your clutch isn't slipping?

Evo_9ssl Jul 16, 2016 09:13 PM

Yes, the clutch was just done 5000 miles ago so it should be good, its started happening when i got my tune, my tuner told me check for vacuum leaks found two vaccum hoses was off from the intake manifold, plug those hoses in and fix the boost leaks from the injector seals but nothing happen.
