G'day from Aus - help needed r.e. no key evo 8
 

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy an insurer sale JDM Evo 8 GSR. However it has no key, and I'm not sure how complicated that'd get for me as the owner if I purchased it (immobiliser issues).

From my understanding there can be issues with a new key getting cut and synced as the car is JDM - so you need a key from Mitsubishi Japan? Other people have said you can disable the immobilizer via ecuflash.

Possibly cheaper to disable? You have tactrix cable?

I would personally not buy a car that does not come with both it's keys :D
