Yeah ive seen that vid before, its bad *** but that totaly distroys ur exhaust and the only reason that i said that about the searh is because there are like 50 million exhaust topics every minute that come up, i saw this sti a couple nights ago that have a Invidia exhaust he was shooting flames like 12 inchs, does anyone know if that exhaust dows that same thing for a evo? i can only get a catback, damn mitsubishi warrenty. and i dont really want to spend more then like 750 thankz

It's not the exhaust that produces flames, it's a lack of a catalytic converter. On abrupt lift throttle the fuel in the system will cause a rich AFR, that excess fuel gets pushed out the exhaust and ignites. The screen mesh of the Cat normally catches these fuel vapors and prevents them from making it all the way out the tail pipe. I don't think you'd simply be able to do that on the stock exhaust as it's got that baffle in the muffler. But a test pipe and any cat back will give you the flames you're looking for.

A shoot a 15 in fire ball with my greddy ti cat back i have to run the car really hard to get that. After a while you will be finding yourself spending more money on the o2 senors then what you paid for your cat back. Neways it does not matter what cat back you run they all will shoot out fire all you need is to have a test pipe and down pipe and your on your way to showing off.

that white(im guessing its white..cause i know who ur talking about) sti runs wicked wicked rich regardless... hes got accessport and he also said that it only does it with his BOV vented... he gets on it, lets off then taps the throttle again really quickly...
youre not gonna be able to do it with just a catback...

on a more serious note, after you find your flame shooting exhaust get a nitrous system so you can purge it out the sides of your fenders so it looks like your car is wicked pissed off.
