Hey what's up everyone. I'm new here, and I'm currently saving up for an Evo 8 almost have enough money for a down payment just waiting until my birthday to see if insurance will go down. Anyway...
I've seen some posters here say that Evos attract police? I don't maybe they think their car is stolen. Post your experiences.

Dude...loud, big wing....most likely being ragged out japanese car....The fast adn the Furious,.......street races. It all depends on where you live but its a stereo type.

Like a black dude driving a nice car (I'm black but its a fact), asian people not being able to drive......its all a stereo type. The police are human. If you are speeding and a BMW is speeding you are getting stopped before the bimmer....bottom lione. If you are young you can bet on that.

police attention is really dependant on where you live and how you drive. Now granted they will stare and pay more attention to you becase of the loud color and wing and exhaust which is true but if you are follwing the rules you are cool. Just keep in mind you stand out in a crowd and will always get a second look.

I got pulled over in orlando because they suspected me of street racing when I was just driving home... sat on the side of the road for almost an hour and a half and they "let me go" with an exhaust ticket lol

it all depends on where u live i havent had many cops look at me but i would def. look at a radar it will help out a lot if u drag attention.

im not going to lie i have gotten two ticket since i got my evo last july both were for speeding but it was my fault for speeding. I was showing off and got what i deserved for speeding after paying 800 for both tickets which i got two weeks apart. Lesson learned other then that no tickets since. I drive as i should save the speeding for the track

Yes. I was ticketless for the 6 years I owned my Miata.

I got 3 tickets in the 2 years I've had my Evo.

I don't drive any different.

Don't drive like a tool and you wont get harassed. Someone mentioned the tail lights, if yours are the stock 8 tails you should change 'em cuz they look stupid, forget attention from the 5-0.
