aps twin vent bov
i need help with my aps twin vent bov... one of my buddys i work with had a g35 twin turbo and sold it and had this bov on it he gave it to me i put it on my car.. it makes a fluttering sound is it sopost to sound like that???

After a few months with my new APS twin vent I had similar flutter. I took it apart and the "lubricant" was all gummed up, almost the consistency of soft wax.
I cleaned it all up and lubed it up with silicone grease. That lasted about 2 weeks and apparently all the grease blew out.
I took it all apart again, cleaned it all up and lubed it up with lithium "white" grease. That lasted about 1 week and apparently all the grease blew out.
I asked questions on EvoM to no avail. Then searched around on some other forums. The answer I got was Mobile 1 oil. Now, every weekend when I check the motor oil level, I put a few drops of Mobile 1 in the open port of the APS valve. It has worked fine for the past 8 months.
FWIW, YMMV,...

First, you do have it on the right direction, correct? Very easy to put it on backwards. Don't ask how I know. The open port on the valve should point up - assuming normal I/C plumbing.
Mine is adjusted with approx. 1/4" of the threaded adjuster screw sticking out of the end of the valve. That's 1/4" beyond the valve, not the nut. Pretend the nut is not there. It is just to keep the adjuster from moving. After you adjust it. Then put on the lock nut. That said, the adjustment should have very little effect on how the valve works. I don't think it is possible to have it mis-adjusted.
Have you had it apart yet? Is it all clean and lubed up? Do you have a good vacuum source unaffected by other vacuum controlled devices?
At normal boost levels - 18-24 psi or so - normal driving - it should really sound about the same as a normal DV valve. On WOT shifts it will make a brief pffffffffft sound.
At higher boost like 30psi it will make a more pronounced PFFFFFFFFT sound when you shift at WOT. However, it will never sound like a VTA. No one will ever mistake you for an SRT-4. hahaha
