Max ecu

anyone know the highest horsepower the stock ecu can handle. dont want to buy things i dont need to

lolz eh hem

Mellon is making over 700 AWHP on the stock ecu.

Ecu upgrade is one of the last things you'll need to do.

I'm not sure but I believe I heard as much as 600+whp on the stock ecu, not exactly sure who but I think the turbo was a hta gt3586r or a precision 6267 something like that

Dude here in NC made 762 WHP. They've gotten pretty advanced with harnessing the stock ECU's capabilities. I'd stick with it.

wheew, good. i plan on going in incriments. i want to go for 350hp, now and then in the future hit 420=450. just dont have the cash now, thanks for your imput

thanks

thanks you guys rock. but i do have a newb question that i cant seem to get awnsered, what is a wideband 02, i know its a sensor, but i looked in the vocab and found its counterpart egt, but thats about it.

i did

i did ten searches. the only things that come up, are guys listing there mods and it falls in the list, or they talk about the necessity of one, or will this throw off my wideband, or will this damage my wideband, i know it measures something, im guessing exhaust gases, but then what is the reason for it

a wideband o2 sensor give you a real time air/fuel ratio as a number

a narrowband o2 just tells you if youre rich or lean, and thats it
