transfer case
i was just wondering how hard it is to rebuild a transfer case because mine started howling just thought i would ask

It is not hard as you have money!!!! any mods in the car???? if not buy same one!!! i got one for 1000$ 40k!!

I beleive the major trans shops like Dogbox, Shep, TRE, Jacks can rebuild them. It costs somewhere around 4-600 i believe.

I believe the "howling" noise fix is much more expensive! Shep wants $1449 to rebuild a whining t-case!

The whining is due to the ring and pinion that's what needs to be replaced...and shep adds a few extra things to make the t-case stronger...
