Evo or m3

That's not always true. I've actually had a lot of compliments on my car from a lot of hot girls I've met over the years. Granted cars like the ones you mentioned are more aesthetically pleasing to most eyes, the Evo still gets love, though of course it's less of a status symbol. I can only think of two girls who ever had anything negative to say... one girl asked why the interior (particularly the head unit and HVAC) looked the way it did despite it being a brand new car (at the time), and the other looked at it in my garage, saying, "Oh, you own a Lancer?" Most other girls have actually seen it and thought I had a really nice car, and every so often you run into a girl who knows what it is. I even met a really pretty girl (complete with tig ol' bitties) who even owned one herself, though she ended up being crazy in the head.

No wing = No attention.
I had a buddy drive my car and he picked up this girl. My buddy owns a GTO 6.0L which barely beats my stock evo. She didn't even know my car had a turbo. Shes like "it sounds nice but its no GTO." I turned to my friend and laughed.
GTO: 440hp chipped 6.0L V8 vs EVO: 250hp 2.0L 4cyl turbo.
A few mods and my buddys GTO will be another Civic Si.
Oh and to the topic. I've seen some nice M3's. But I wouldn't get it if I had to choose one or the other.

I'll speak for a coworker of mine that sold his 06 RS for an older M3 year about an 01-02 or so. I know they skipped a year in there somewhere. He wanted his Evo back, that's all I need to say!

I am looking at M3s currently. I drive a wingless GG 05 EVO 8 MR. I love the performance of the Evo, but even without the wing the car generates a bit of a 2fast2furious stigma. The m3 is a lot more proffessional looking for driving to the office and such. I already have an S14 track car, and the Evo is just a daily driver for me. I was really considering making the switch to the E46 M3 but I am worried I might regret it.

It's funny that you say that. My boss owns a 530i, and the dealership is charging him over $1,000 to resurface the rotors and change the pads. Keep in mind this is a more standard model and not some high performance variant.
