VHT Niteshade or Vinyl?
So I wanted to smoke my tail lights and wasn't sure which route to go.
I see a lot of people go with the VHT niteshade with mixed reviews, some are happy while some aren't. I have a tint shop near that tints taillights with vinyl and chargers $40 for each tail light, which is quite a bit, since one can of niteshade is only $15 or so. If any of you guys have tinted headlights, please post your pictures and tell me how you did them!
Do you guys think I should use niteshade and do it my self or go to the tint shop?
Thanks!

If you gotta do it, either take it to a body shop and have them do it, have evodave do it, or try this stuff.

I can only speak for red not black, but after painting my taillights twice and not being satisfied with the results, red vinyl was the right solution for me. it looked better and took less time to install.

If you have the money do the vinyl. If you know exactly what you want then go with the VHT. I've done tails on a few cars and turned out great (no pics sry). Just take your time and do only a few light coats till you get what you want. Be careful tho, its easy to go too dark. Id have someone who has done it before accompany you if your unsure.

The VHT doesnt work so great. It might look okay without the lights illuminated, but when they are it looks patchy and uneven. Very difficult to get an even application and it runs VERY easily.

+1 for vinyl, its not permanent and easily removable if you have issues with your local police. I bought a large sheet of red vinyl for my tails and tinted them as the first "mod" for the evo, and was very happy with the results.

Just email the guy. His name is Andy mercado.

I have order from him a bunch of times for both my evo and my old car. Great service. It usually takes him a business day to get back to you but due to the holiday it may take him a little longer.
