Funny/stupid things people say/ask about your Evo!

I've had a bunch of the same comments as most of you.
"Is it fast?"
"That's a Subaru, right?"
"Your car's still running!"
"It's YOUR car!?" <--- I guess girls can't have fast cars...
And my favorite from about a month and a half ago:
I'm standing a few feet from my car at a meet my husband and I go to on Mondays.
"Hey, is that your car?"
"Yeah, this one's mine and that one's (points to his Evo next to mine) my husbands."
"Were you driving down East Bay two weeks ago?"
"...yeah..."
"I knew it! I saw you and was recording you as you were driving! My best friend's favorite car is the Evo, and I knew he wouldn't believe me when I told him a saw a girl driving one!"
Makes me wonder how many times this has happened that I don't know about!

the GF drives a 2015 Fiesta ST, and had a guy try to impress her with his 02 WRX and she was like oh my BF would think your car is cute (she knows my sarcasm well) and he was like "oh whats he drive I bet my car will beat it?" so she asked the next logical question (I've trained her right) .... "what kinda power are you putting to the wheels?" he started naming parts and trying to BS her and she goes "that's all well and good, but unless your over 500hp+ to the wheels and quicker then 11s your not beating him on street tires, he has an EVO 8 and your WRX isn't even an STi" :-D she made me so proud ! bringing this thread back from the dead

most the stuff being posted I’ve heard. but heres one that blew my mind.
Co-worker: Hey what kind of car is that?
Me: mitsubishi evo
Co-Worker: ohh :/ I wouldn’t trust a company that makes tv’s and refrigerators to make a car

I stopped by at my buddies house and his dad was over and he was like "That's a nice car how much horsepower 160? all that stuff and then he was like yeah it's a nice subaru." It was awkard

I'm surprised this thread is still going, but this weekend I was also surprised to hear some new dumb **** from some adolescent boy.
"Is this a Lancer?!?" (Yeah, so are a lot of FWD automatic cars.)
"Do you drift with it?" ('Cause that would be a brilliant use of a small-displacement AWD car.)
The more common question (this one is more forgivable) is "You get about 30 miles per gallon with that?" (I wish!)
The whole burnout thing is really tiresome now.
When someone tells me to do a burnout I've started answering "Changing the clutch on this car costs about $1600. Are YOU gonna pay for it?"
"No."
"Then **** OFF."

It took a looong time but I finally heard something new and worthy of this thread. I was driving someone somewhere in my Evo, and...
Her: "What are you doing with your left leg over there?"
Me: "Pushing the clutch pedal to shift."
Her: "How many pedals do you have over there??? What's the point of that?!?"
Her on another day: "Why do you have to change gears? Why can't you just pick a gear and leave it???"
And another time, comparing our incomes and our use of it: "You spent $30,000 adding a turbocharger to your car."
Me: "No, I spent $30,000 buying a turbocharged car."
These were actually from a different person, but almost as stoopid in my opinion:
"Are you on your second engine, or your third?"
"Everybody needs a new long block, some day."
