Generally you dont.
If you are really worried about it, you can change the oil, run the car up, then change the oil again.

It's not really required.

Get the engine hot, turn it off.
Drop the sump plug, allow the engine to drain. (Longer you leave it, the more it will drain).
When you put the new oil filter on, fill it with oil first. This will help you get oil pressure faster.
Reinstall the sump plug with new washer.
Fill the engine to "full" mark on dipstick.
Run the engine for 30seconds or so at 3000rpm, then turn off and recheck oil level.

Add oil as required

If you wanna take it little further you can juck up the front endso the oil pan has a little more angle toward the drain...

Generally the amount is so small that it is not worth trying to get out. Most of the oil flows back to the pan after the car is shutoff. I wouldn't worry about it. Cheers

for our racecars we warm up the car, and run them @ 4000rpm.
Then quickly turn the car off and check the oil level.
This accounts for oil in the engine galleries and the head.
