how can i keep my car FWD and put the 4g63 turbo engine in there can i use the tranny from the 4g63 non turbo if it is fwd? what car come with the 4663 non turbo? i really want to make this workbut i have a not so high budget lolplease all help is needed state all opinions

you just need the universal engine swap tranny bracket.

alll 4g63 engine are turbo'ed. the non turbo eclipses run a 420A (neon) motor, and the eclipse spyder n.a motor is 4g64. if you get a 2nd gen or 1st gen 4g63, you can keep your FWD as they made FWD turbo (eclipse GST). hope that helps.

wrong, theres 4G63 n/a's aswell, i've got the gearbox out of a 1998 galant G63 n/a. none of the eclipse turbo gearboxs will fit as they're on the wrong side!!!!

So the GST 4G63T with a 98 gallant gearbox, will fit and work on an 02 lancer oz?

Save yourself all the trouble and just buy a already turbo dsm(eclipse, talon, laser) as they already come with 4g63 turbo'd if you get a gst,gsx, tsi model for your "not so high budget" and you could even ditch the fwd and get and all wheel drive one and get the best of both worlds.

I don't think it's easy. My friend tried to do it but he couldn't find the bracket.
