Hey everyone been lurking the classifieds for a little while now after my 15' FR-S was just rear ended. Looking to pick up a 8/9 between $15-20k!

Stay lurking craigslist. Wait for the right deal and have cash in hand. They pop up eventually and you know if you got the cash in hand your first to show up with it.

I got my evo 8 rs for 10k
And my bro got a 03 blue gsr from og owner for 12. With 90 k

Thanks for the advice brotha! I haven't seen anything near that price that looks presentable. I want something that's not too beat up with lower mileage. I'm gonna have to take out a loan for the car so it's gotta be in decent shape.

Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear about what happened to your car though. Good luck with the search, but unless you've lurked around Evo forums for a while, you'll realize that it's going to be hard to find the Evo that you want at the price you want to pay.

If possible try registering it in a different state to avoid the smog and other fees of owning it if your trying to do anything with it.

Welcome! Your budget is just about right. You should have no problem. Just wait for a good one. It's always tempting to buy the first one we find. It's hardly EVER the best LOL.
If you are REALLY patient, you will happen on a steal of a deal. But you gotta wait. And wait. And wait. LOL.
It took me two years to find another white MR.

Totally agree. Take your time. I found my cherry 2006 STi 2 years after I started looking. It is out there, just take your time. Unless you have to buy a car right away...
