Lean Spike at 3.5k - 4k RPM at WOT
Dear EvoM Masters,
I am a newbie from Malaysia. Recently i upgraded my Evo 7, and am facing a really head banging issue where the car would get a lean spike at 3.5k - 4k RPM at WOT.
List of upgrades as below:
AEM 320LPH Fuel Pump (non E85) (new)
FIC 1120cc Injectors (new)
GT35R .63 A/R hotside (2nd hand)
GTR Intercooler (2nd Hand)
Power FC L-Jetro (running MAF) (using since 2011)
stock Block 2.0 (just Overhauled)
Iridium IX BKR8E Plugs
Sard Fuel regulator adjusted to 3.2bar
HKS EVC5
all other parts are stock
Issue happened after i upgraded turbo,intercooler,fuel pump,injector. Tried changing back to stock injectors, but still the same. Tried swapping with a friends Works fuel regulator, still same. Now changing back to my old Walbro 255LPH fuel pump to test.
issue only happens at WOT at any gear and only between 3.5k - 4k RPM. from 2.5k-3.5k i get a reading of about 10-11 AFR and from 3.5k - 4k it shoots up between 13 - 14 AFR and after 4k it goes back down 10 - 11 AFR again.
on tuning my tuner put 3.5k - 4k RPM at 10+ AFR (same as full boost setting) but it cant go down.
im kinda stuck currently which is why i am changing back to the Walbro fuel pump, as these are the only parts i changed/upgraded most recently. Any input from you guys would be greatly appreciated.
