Do you go for drives by yourself?
I've always ridden a bike by myself, sometimes with a few mates but due to hard organising its easier to just jump in the evo now and go for a spin early saturday or sunday. I sort of get a buzz out of the evo more then the bike in the corners but being in a car going for a drive by yourself is that a bit tragic?
|
I don't think its tragic. There is nothing wrong with alone time enjoying something you like. I enjoy both group rides/drives and ones alone. Riding/driving alone is a little more enjoyable to me to clear my head and just chill.

Not at all.
For me at least, its a great way of relaxing. That being said, i only do it in the Evo, its a nice place to be to divert my head from any every day problem or whatever. Group driving is good for one thing, driving alone is good for another :) |
I enjoy solitude. I get to meet enough people at work, and the friends and girlfriends I choose are quality people. While I do enjoy meaningful moments with them, a cruise to the mountains with just me and my Evo allows me to think, relax, and plan.
Some people cannot endure loneliness. They surround themselves with pigs and the pigs make their life filled with troubles and meaningless distraction. Those people are the real tragedy. |
Every car I've owned I do that, even crappy cars.
It's always been a very soothing thing. Sometimes I drive hard, but very often its just driving. |
I have always enjoyed a nice drive just me and the car. More of an extension of you while driving rather than just a means of transportation with your friends with you. And i go WOT a lot more |
I like riding/driving alone as well as with friends/in a group. The bike I'm more likely to enjoy more with others. But driving - never underestimate the power of a solo drive in a clean car, paint shining, windows down and your favorite songs on.

No. I find driving by myself boring. I used to have a GM vehicle and the radio would tune TV stations so I'd be driving along listening to some sporting event and half the way through the event I'd drive out of range. One day, coming back on the interstate from somewhere, I was being bugged by a rattle in the dash. So, a few miles later half the dash was apart and I was up to my elbows in the dash while driving with my chin.

I would go for late night drives all the time, especially when I couldn't sleep. Its therapeutic for me.

One of the best ways to clear my head. I also ride alone often with no sense of direction usually. Just head out and see where the road goes.

Absolutely, I'm almost forced to since the roads where I live simply don' t do the evo justice. I drive quite a distance to hit up back roads and open her up a bit.
