			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><!-- google_ad_section_start -->We suffered a cam timing jump on our Evo 5...resulting in bent valves and cylinder head redo.<br />
<br />
It appears repairable and would like to upgrade while it is apart - certainly more entertaining than going back with the same HP.<br />
<br />
We run a mild combination - Evo 9 turbo (updating to HTA71 along ported FP exhaust manifold), GSC S1 cams, good intake and exhaust with OEM intercooler with 23 psi boost. It produced close to 400 CHP on the dyno with a pro-tuned Link ECU. Pretty happy for the last 20,000 miles.<br />
<br />
The head was just shipped to Head Games for the fix. I compared the OEM cylinder head ports to the gasket that fits the FP manifold perfectly and see the dramatic difference. Admittedly the flow is going the best direction (small to big)...but seems like some HP is lost along this path...<br />
<br />

        <a href="https://flic.kr/p/2se3tvE" title="<img src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55281565732_d46b465e59_c.jpg" alt="" class="post_inline_image" loading="lazy" />" target="_blank"><img src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55281565732_d46b465e59_c.jpg" alt="" class="post_inline_image" loading="lazy" /></a>

</div><br />
Will we lose anything going with either their stage II pocket port or even their full CNC porting? On other applications, ported heads are always a plus. I can see us limited boost to 25 psi, but investing in the head considering the task to shipping across the world and the like - maybe the $2000 porting service isn't so bad.<br />
<br />
BL: what might the HP gain (or loss)?<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><!-- google_ad_section_start -->Hello everyone.<br />
<br />
I'm looking for advice on upgrading the intercooler on my LML Duramax. I’ve been noticing higher intake air temperatures during towing and spirited driving, and I’m wondering if a larger aftermarket intercooler is worth the investment.<br />
<br />
How much improvement in IAT reduction and overall engine performance can I realistically expect? Are there any brands that offer the best balance of reliability, cooling efficiency, and fitment without major modifications? Also, will upgrading the intercooler require any tuning changes or affect fuel economy?<br />
<br />
Any long-term experiences or recommendations from other LML owners would be greatly appreciated.<!-- google_ad_section_end --></div>

<span style="color:#191500">I’m trying to install a Pioneer 2DIN head unit (SPH-DA360DAB) in my Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR and I can’t figure out the wiring.</span><br />
<span style="color:#191500">The car was originally a base GSR and later converted to MR interior/specs with the MMCS and Rockford Fosgate setup added afterwards, so I’m not sure what wiring the car actually has anymore.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color:#191500">Coming from the car I currently have:</span><br />
<span style="color:#191500">1x 26 pin connector</span><br />
<span style="color:#191500">1x 16 pin connector</span><br />
<span style="color:#191500">1x 18 pin connector</span><br />

<span style="color:#191500">I already bought a few harnesses/adapters but nothing seems to match correctly and the connectors won’t fit.</span><br />
<span style="color:#191500">At this point I’m starting to think I need a specific interface or amp adapter for the MMCS/Rockford setup, if anyone already did this swap on an Evo X and can help me understand what harness/interface I actually need I’d really appreciate it!</span><br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><!-- google_ad_section_start -->Finally, I did it.<br />
<br />
True Rolling Anti-Lag on the stock Mitsubishi M32R ECU in the Evo X, running on Tephra V3.<br />
<br />
Fully functional and confirmed through real testing and data.<br />
<br />
After more than 440 files and attempts.<br />
After 3 bricked ECUs.<br />
After endless tracing, patching, flashing, testing, and fixing since August 2025.<br />
<br />
This was developed through deep code tracing using Ghidra and IDA Pro, with the logic added directly into the stock OEM ECU.<br />
<br />
The system now includes:<br />
<ul><li>Selectable SET, RES, or CANCEL trigger logic through the factory cruise control buttons</li>
<li>Functional Rolling Anti-Lag gates</li>
<li>Standalone RAL fuel table</li>
<li>Standalone RAL spark timing table</li>
<li>Spark Cut Integration with RAL</li>
<li>RAL Master Switch</li>
<li>Max Speed gate</li>
<li>TPS gate</li>
<li>RPM gate</li>
<li>Coolant gate</li>
<li>Active-time control</li>
</ul>Stock OEM ECU.<br />
No external controller.<br />
No fake table edits.<br />
No shortcuts.<br />
<br />
Everything else remains stock.<br />
<br />
This is real logic added to the factory ECU, traced, patched, calibrated, and tested on Tephra V3.<br />
<br />
Currently fully functional on 5305, 5360, 5557, 5559, and 5691 ROMS.<br />
<br />
Development is continuing on other ROMs.<br />
<br />
 with many thanks to Kent Wolstenholme.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><!-- google_ad_section_start -->Hi there! I’ve been experiencing head-lift issues with my Evo IX. My block hasn’t been oring, and I don’t want to oring it. Currently, I’m using ARP L19 Headstuds paired with SCE Vulcan Cut Ring Gasket. I’m boosting 35 psi and using pumped gas. Could you recommend a recommended setup to prevent head-lift? My current bore is 86.5 mm, so the OEM gasket won’t fit. <br />

It is currently set with the clutch switch for launch control. I emailed Tephra about it, but he was in the middle of a lot of things and never got back to me. I don't like to bother, so wondering if anyone has the patch to change it to the Brake switch they could share with me? </span><br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><!-- google_ad_section_start -->Hopefully im posting this in the right location!<br />
<br />
about a year ago, i set out to see if it was possible to have a sort of rolling antilag feature on the stock ECU because i had a GTX3576, pretty laggy and was not wanting to keep beating up my brakes with brake boosting. i downloaded electrical diagrams, wiring diagrams, tried different things with different maps and finally was able to get it kinda working! after about 6 months of what ever free time i had from my day job, i went from my experimental harness to a full plug in harness with oem connectors and a refined tune so everything works in harmony.<br />
<br />
not only was i able to get rolling antilag working, i was able to implement a version of flat foot shifting logic which was nice because this is a feature thats lost when you go flex fuel tune. whats more is when i had "no lift to shift" enabled, i would notice in the logs that between gears, i would lose about half the boost every time. i found in the quarter mile, i was faster without "NLTS" than with it. Now, with flat foot shift, all the boost is there and never lets off between the gears. I was able to get some timing stragety between the gear changes so the car almost sounds like an automatic, the gears go in to the next much more smoothly because the driveline is being unloaded due to the timing stragety, so much better! this alone was worth almost half a second at the strip! the antilag ended up being so good, before this, it was almost impossible to build all the boost in 1st gear without standing on the brake pedal. now, i have the ability to build all the boost (32psi) in 1st and carry it through every gear.<br />
<br />
further refining all the maps related to this, i was also able to do other things like......im ok with some burbles on decel, but would find i would get tired of it. then i would miss it, then get tired of it again. what made it more of a pain is the only way to get this to work or not was to retune the car every time. well, i was eventually able to figure out that i could have this on demand. with the same trigger button for the antilag, i could use the button on decel to activate the burbles, pops and bangs, or some flames, how ever i chose to tune it. if i dont want any decel events, i simply leave the button alone.<br />
<br />
and another thing that i was able to do is quicker engine warm ups. im built motor on e85. the highest wear and tear on an engine is when its cold, esp on e85. its so important to get to operating temp as quick as possible so piston to wall clearance is optimal and e85 washing down the cylinder walls is reduced as quick as possible. this is why if you ever change your oil, you can smell e85 and gas in your oil is the worse for bearings. with this new set up, im able to hold the button down when cruising out of my neighborhood to create a light load on the engine. whats important to note here is i can stay in vacuum, never hitting any kind of boost but because of the timing stragety, more heat is generated thus heating up the engine/ oil/ coolant quicker.<br />
<br />
I will be making a seperate thread on how to buy the kit in the classified section. feel free to message me with any questions! <br />
