I got mine from there just last week and I only paid $100 over sticker. The lady I worked with was really cool.....her name is Raquel Glines.

From all the negative feedback i've heard from that dealer, it seems people would rather get teeth pulled without any painkillers than do business with Steven Creek Mits.

i just bought a MR from there on sunday. got one of the grey ones. i used to hate even going to look at cars at that dealership a few years ago! someone else bought it (the people who own Capitol Mitsu) two years ago so i'm hoping that's an improvement. anyone know???

What price did you pay for it? MSRP?

i paid MSRP + 500. i actually didn't think they would go that low since most of the dealerships around here seem to be marking them up 5-6K. i'm sure if i was willing to travel a bit i could have maybe found one for MSRP, but the smile on my face the past two days has more than made up for the $500 !!!

did you have a trade or did you just buy the car outright?

Thx for the info,

Steve

i kept my car. can't see giving up the S4 for the price that a dealership would give me. i'll just throw some winter tires on the S4 and enjoy the heated seats, nicer interior, and softer ride on the trips up to Tahoe!

That's cool that they let you drive the MR, I'm thinking about trading in my 03 for an 05, although I'm not sure on either the base 05 GSR or the MR. I drove my friend's 05, now I just need to try out the MR.

what would be your reasons for going from the 03 to an 05?

Just because a dealer puts a $5K mark-up sticker on the window, doesn't mean you have to pay it. That's for suckers. Just tell them you refuse to pay any dealer mark-up. You are ready to buy the car at MSRP, and that gives them a nice profit. If they say no, walk out. They will probably chase you down the sidewalk to get your business at sticker.

yea, the hard thing around here is that there are people who will just pay it, so the dealers can be jerks if they want to be. like when i bought my S4 and you pretty much had to pay a couple grand over MSRP just to get allocated one that was coming in in a few months!

it's always possible to try and wait out the initial hype / rush, but someone's got to support this economy!!!

The 05s have the LSD+ACD and the 10.5 housing.

yea, the LSD and ACD is what had me leaning towards getting an 05 over a used 04. the idea of a used Evo sort of scared me too since i'd have to assume the car was driven pretty hard and wasn't sure if i wanted to deal with not knowing for sure.

to me 05 GSR vs MR comes down to how much you plan to mod the car and if you really care about the 6 speed or not. if you're going to put in a different suspension and rims then the MR seems to make less sense since you're just getting the 6 speed, an aluminum roof and some guages that you can't read for 4.5K more.
