Just found out that my MR was joyridden before delivery
I'd also opt for the new MR. If anything were to break in the future, you'd always be wondering if it was because of that drive the detail shop took. Sounds like the dealer is doing everyhting possible to have you remain a loyal customer. I wish all dealers treated customers that way. Kudos to that dealer! Good luck MisterSpoot, sounds like it will all work out.

I'd like to know what dealership you used, so I can shop there in the future.
I'd go for a replacement car, rather than buying the abused car, because the first thing a punk bonehead tries in an AWD car is to smoke the tires in a hard launch.

Glad its all turned out well in the long run for you.
dude, i'm glad that worked out for you. mad props to an honest dealer and one that doesn't just try to do the minimum to make the situation right (the very least would be to find another car). the fact you were given a choice, and given a break in the whole lease thing, even if you walked away... that's above and beyond.
fantastic customer service. if possible, would you please post the dealers name for everyone here, and if everything works out well, i encourage you to write mitsubishi with the details. this would be the perfect example for them to use at other dealerships of how to give the best service possible.

FYI, the broken car is already sold. About 6 weeks after I put my deposit down, he started getting calls from other people that were interested, and told them he'd keep in touch if he could get another.
After I told him I'd take the VA car, he started making calls. One apparently rushed down, and put a deposit on it after the bunch of us explained what had happened. He didn't care... he was getting an MR with a good discount, and knowing things'll be taken care of it anything goes wrong.

Sounds like a good dealership. Wish I had gone there. Good thing you actually noticed. Everyone has bad stories. I heard a bad one recently about a local shop and their ferraris, and a tech moving one and crashing it into another, then why the guy got it home and called in the shop said he must have done it, because it left clean. So always inspect your car!!!!

When I bought my original silver evo it had only 2 miles on it. If you buy a brand new car you deserve a car with less than 5 miles on it.
Broken teeth in the transfer case. Man, had to be doughnuts. What an A S S H O L E.
It does sound like the whole thing has been handled very proffesionally from both sides.
I'm glad it all worked out.
Have fun!

I wouldnt worry about it. A) your clutch will be fine. B) its ok if you rev the car over 5000 rpms. C) it has a rev limiter?
really wouldnt put so much concern into. Yes, i would be upset too...just take a discount and if they dont, dont worry about it.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist. Sounds like it all worked out.
