New Tranny Gear Ratios
True.Yes - we already know the IX is quicker in the slalom.
BUT - I have read reviews saying the IX GRS also is "pulling better" than the MR, out of the road course corners now, due to the new gearing.
I can't wait for more testing to be done, but they will.
Not sure you still care, but IMHO the new IX MR gearing is way too short....I have to shift into 3rd gear just to hit 60mph...The frequent gear changes will definitely hurt 0 - 60 sprints..... (Well once car is "broken in", I guess I will be able to get to 60 in 2nd, so that is good
....)
Secondly, if you wanted it to be setup for road racing, you would want a real tall first, second, and maybe even third gear, with tighter fourth, fifith, and sixth (depending on the track).
I just bought the car (have ~200 miles on it) and want to change the ratios already....That said, I love the car.
