Mitsu says the SST will be superior to DSG.
DSG is already superior to manual.

So even better fuel efficiency and faster than 8ms shifts? SIGN ME UP.

8ms? Is that what they quote? Hot ****.

I assume the SST box will allow you to do anything you want, just like a manual? Like bouncing off of the rev limiter if you wanted to for some reason?

What about launching the car for a drag race? rev it up in neutral and then shift? That probably won't work as well as feathering the clutch.

There's some other info posted up on evoxforums.com, but it's more or less similar to the stuff that's on here anyway.

Its a manual shifted via the Paddle shifters on the steering column. The way it works is so there is no cutch needed but you still have all the speed control of a manual. It is similar to a DSG used in indy cars but it goes one step further and takes the driver almost completely out of the equation by eliminating the clutch thus making shifting faster than any human can possibly push in a clutch then shift to next gear then depress the clutch and give it gas again.

Most likely it will have launch control, so instead of revving in neutral and than dumping the clutch it would be more like holding down the brake than holding down the gas and than releasing the brake.

Your're correct that there is not clutch PEDAL but there are two actual clutches that are computer actuated in the gearbox. Just wanted to make that clear.
