No way this motor would have gone through the torture of WRC.

Stick with the EVO 9 (not that I have one)

AL from Dyno Tune was right about the EVO X motor....
How the hell do know that the new engine can't handle the abuse of WRC? Are you an engineer that designed the new engine, or someone that talks out of his ***?

relax guys, the mitshu will run in the WRC, just with privet party's. Not with the "factory back up".
Who knows, maybe it's a good thing. The future will tell.

How do you know its not a DODGE Caliber-Hyndai Sonata "WORLD" engine. Mitsubishi admitted this few weeks ago.(use the search option)
People already looked at the Caliber engine and its crap-cheap. Same engine thats in The new Evo X.

The SRT Caliber will have the SAME ENGINE, FRAME, AND most parts as the EVO X. The only difference is the engine stroke.

Now Are YOU talking out of Yor *** ..Yes I think so

wow. that just means the block is from the same line of engines. the whole line of engines aren't even all exactly the same, they were just designed to all meet the same criteria, one of which being reliability.

i have a caliber, the engine is nothing like my lancer... i can't find one part of it that seems the same though i am not a mechanic and don't claim to be an automotive expert. i also didn't ever read that the dodge version was bad. i have however read that nearly every aspect of the final motors in dodges and mitsus were custom made by their respective companies.

i think that is just an opinion that some SRT-4 Neon fanboy used to justify why he won't buy the SRT-4 Caliber. sound familiar?

"i bought the neon srt-4 because i feel it is the last TRUE SRT model..."

when the lancer explodes or breaks down a whole lot, i'll agree with you guys.

no company would knowingly make a vehicle who's engine can not even handle it's own power. if the calibers are havign problems that i haven't seen or read about, i'm sure mitsu heard about it before anybody else and has addressed it.

i think mitsu pulled out of WRC if they even have because automotive racing is in a very steep decline aside from nascar which is rising in popularity regardless of the fact that it is well, pretty lame. mitsubishi is also one of the worst selling car companies in the US... i'm not sure about the rest of the world but it is probably the same in most of it.

until REAL technicians and mechanics own Xs and 2009 SRT4s and are servicing them, all you guys have is uneducated speculation, making your opinions 100% worthless.

worthless.

Shut the **** up. We won't know anything about the engine until people will start working on them. We don't know anything and that includes you.

I fail to see how that signature applies, seeing as no one here is "listening" to anything...

Maybe you can elaborate on your inept attempt at junior philosophy for us.

Your literal interpretation is amazing......Maybe you can try reading my posts or my signature out loud so you can hear them and maybe better understand them.

Your high school education is paying off for sure.

If you have your hots set on the EVO X thats fine..go buy one. But don't attack me personally because I don't think the new EVO X motor is just as strong as the mighty 4g63

Good Luck

How do know that the new engine will be weaker or not as strong as the 4G63T? Have you taken one apart and examined it for weaknesses? Nobody has a clue to how good or how bad the 4B11T is until a tuner has one in his hands. All we know is speculation, which is just as worthless as no solid facts.

Check out this article: http://www.allpar.com/mopar/world-engine.html , it pretty much says that the basic block design is the same but everything else is pretty much built to each individual specifications. So in short, Caliber SRT WILL NOT have the exact same engine as Evo X. Besides, your Evo RS has the "same engine" as a Dodge Colt from the 1980s and Hyundai Sonata from the 1990s, but that doesn'tmake 4G63 a bad performance engine, does it? Learn a bit of history about 4G63 before criticizing the new generation of engines.

if you think about it, no manufacturer today, makes his own car alone anymore.
so many connection between them its not even funny. Kinda like the oil company's .... if you know what i mean..

we have to wait untill the X comes out . Then a year later we can start discuss it ,based upon the facts what we goin to see . Untill any negative or that matter positive opinion is childish.
