Well the 'huge' grills are there for all the cooling this car needs so I'm not sure what your argument is here.
Design is subjective. So the 'hideous' styling you mentioned, to someone else might look pretty good.
There are only 2 models so far. Mitsu. hasn't announced an RS version yet and like most companies probably won't until sales of the more profitable GSR and MR start to taper off.
You can get a 5 speed or SST in either car.

 

It is standard on the USDM Evo.

 

How do you know? All we keep seeing are the RHD driven X...kinda like its standard diffuser on the iX on the JDM models...but not on the iX here in the states...

I am sorry just don't see how it looks like crap, infact the better the quality of pics the better the X looks. I really think the car will look even better in person. I mean most people I talk to think the car looks nice, there are some that prefer the look of the EVO IX better, but to exaggerate by saying it looks like crap is little to far, I understand we are all entitled to our opinion, and so my opinion is that your opinion is bias and idiotic.

 

I mean what is so bad about the EVO X, oh it only runs mid 13s, seriously have you guys been to drag strip lately and seen some stock EVO IX owners drag race (STI owners are even worse) and see countless number of owners struggle to hit 13s and I thought my stock 13.6@102mph was horrible, these muthaf*ckers make me look like a pro. So I really don't see how some of you are *****in' over a couple tenths in the 1/4 mile. Overall the car seems like a better car, heavier yes, but still handles with the best of them, looks like it will be easier to live with day to day, and seems like a more quality interior with more options, exterior styling is in the eye of the beholders, but I know my friends are in favor big time of me ditching my IX for the X on looks a lone (never gonna happend I love my IX). I mean would life with a EVO X be so horrible...

 

No I have not...the only thing that I have seen in person is the lancer...and the X looks too much like it...NOT MY CUP OF TEA...If I have to see the car in person to decide if like it...than that should tell you something on the design of the car...there's plenty of cars out there that look awesome on pictures and even better in real life...sadly this is not the case with the X for me...

 

The only thing I like about the X are the front fenders...other than that...its too much of a cross breed and reminds me of other cars...a crowd pleaser that lost its identity...interior may be nicer than the currnet but so what...to me it makes no diffrence...I got a SSL package on mine and wouldn't trade it for the life of me...but I could see how it is a step up from non-SSL packages...your opinion is as bias and idiotic as mine...so what? Go buy one if you like it...I won't...

 

You see my problem is that when type sh*t like crap and what ever, you type as if it fact, as if everybody agrees with your opinion, and like I said most people don't. I understand prefering the look of the EVO IX (which was called the fastest ugly car in the world by the L.A. Times), but to call the EVO X crap. Seriously I have hard time taking your opinion seriously, it seems very bias and filled with hatred. What happend to brand loyality, oh wait a minute your another one of those buy a car a year muthaf*ckers aren't you, oh ok I see, if the EVO X weeds people like you out, then I am happy.

 

Really is it not amazing that I own a IX and love it to death and have no plans of selling my EVO IX for a EVO X, despite outside pressures from love ones. Interesting I have a lot to be bias about.

 

Everyone I've shown pics of the X likes the car. I agree with 3000, the higher the res of pics, the better it looks. This pic is gorgeous! Everyone's talking about weight but guess what, every car that is made in the US for these model years will be heavier because of all of the stricter regulations. No way around it. The car can't be all that bad as I've not seen one negative review from the mags.

 

all this talk about how the evo x looks like all these other cars, who cares, those "other cars" are pretty good looking to me....and as if the evo 8 and 9 didnt look a little like an IS / altezza (chrome tails, angled headlamps)

 

Yeah...you know what I guess I am one of those muthaf*ckers...simply because I am not brand loyal fanboy that gives praises to the new model each time it comes out...so what is your point? I should like every new model that comes out with...like the eclipse huh? I said it before and I will say this again...just because there's a new model out does not mean that it is better...I like the new technology in the X...not a big fan of the X not having the 4g63 motor in it...but time will tell if the new 4B11t will be better or not...my biggest problem are the looks of the X...if I have to see the car in person to determine if I like it...then obvioulsy is a flaw in the design don't ya think... I am not alone in this...there's a thread...its about the X and its expactation 45% 55% last time I checked...let me know if you can't find it...I'll help you out...
