Hopefully Mitsubishi will offer a Evo MR touring w/out the sunroof.

The only diference between the MR Touring and the SE will be leather and a sunroof, being that you can get the leather added for like 1500-2000, and that the SE is going to be roughly $5-6K less I would get the SE and add the leather any color I wanted.

whatever happens in the states, evo's will continue to shred all the other continents... only thing that sucks is if they do discontinue distribution in the states, trying to find an unmolested used evo.... seriously its like every single used example was owned by a 12 year old who thought they were playing a video game.

It'd be lame if they discontinued them in the states for sure.

but in another thread you said you wanted to get rid of yours and would not recommend them to anyone, so why would it be lame to you?

Canada only gets around 200 Evos a year from what I have herd from many people, 100 or so MR's and 100 GSR!
You could also look into picking one up from the states,, thats what I did

if you could show me where i said i ever wanted to get rid of anything id appreciate it?

edit:" I've heard this from multiple people in my area and thats what really convinced me to go for a ix rather than the x. If youve ever had a ix op whats your input on it compared to the x. Thanks."

I believe this is what you are referring to which leads me to believe you didn't read my post thoroughly. I don't see where I said I wanted to get rid of anything rather me wanting to purchase a ix rather than a x. Whether I want a ix or a x it would still be lame if they discontinued the evo in 2011 because I'd like to see Mitsubishi match Subaru's 2011 STI with a 2011 EVO..k thx?

^ I think he had mistaken you for the guy that posted before you.

At any rate, with the intro of their SE, that throws all probability of a '11 refresh out the window.

I dont agree with this!!! If you do a search on youtube you will find that they raced a R34,EVO,FERRARI,PORSCHE,VETTE! All of these cars were moddified BUT only with options you could get from the dealer. I think the vette was around $90,000(a lienfieger or something like that). dont know the exact model #'s on the cars but they werent the cheap ones and every car had a top notch racing driver in them. Results-------1PORSCHE GT3(awd),rite on its butttt,2 R34, rite on its butttt,3 EVO, and about 15-20sec behind came the other 2 cars!!! Dont get me wrong, i like z06's but they are not in the same game, let alone the same ballpark as a awd car!

It doesn't matter what kind of car it is, you will always come across somebody some where who thinks its overpriced, overrated, or a pos and that some other car is much better, more worthy to be modded, and a much better deal.

Cars are like women Some guys like big/small/foreign/domestic/fast/slow. Its really what appeals to the individual. All I can say is from my experience the evo is one of the best bang for your buck cars. No one should ever say it's luxurious on the same line as a bmw or benz, but being able to leave them in the dust for a fraction of the cost is priceless imo. ( I smell mastercard comercial) lol I hope they make the evo for years to come weather hybrid or not as long as mitsubishi doesn't stray to far from the core of the evo then I will be happy. I hope one day I can show my kids future evo and tell them that dad was cool once upon a time.
