I dunno if I like the idea of a green sports car. Kind of defeats the idea.

 

Utilizing electric power as support is nothing but the future. I did a research paper on mitsubishi and going green. It's going to happen. an evolution none the the less. +1 on owning a XI before I buy a X....lol

I had the opportunity to speak to the president of the North American region today about many things including the future Evo. What was said was that is looking ahead with hopes to have an Evo of some sort. A hybrid that has been speculated is very possible as well as a full on electric sports car. The brand focus will be green/fuel efficient cars and SUV's. A very performance oriented sports car could be a full on electric car far down the road. Don't be surprised if we have a full on electric car like the Tesla some day. Mitsubishi will consider this direction of the evo once has implemented charging stations across the country. Either way does see the value in this sporty image and has plans to continue this.

To me, your taking away from the evo once you start to go "green" with it.

 

Exactly. Ill be more angry if they feed us some eco box called an "evo" rather than nothing at all.

Have either of you ever actually seen a tesla roadster run an auto-x or time attack course? The acceleration is insane. Here is the video of my friend's, and he kills it with this car. If the evo shape changes and it gets a powerplant like this, I'd be open to it no doubt.

With gas rising, I wouldn't mind a super fast electric car like the tesla from Mitsubishi.

 

Mitsu's done a huge amount of testing with an all electric evo already and it was faster round the track then its Evo 8/9 counterpart (which I can't remember off hand).

While it would be sad to be only electric with the technologies available today, it could be potentially better than what we have today, after all, the only boat that doesn't rock is a boat that's not moving.

 

There is no doubt they can be fast. To me though, I wont drive an evo without the roar of the motor and turbo. You take away the motor, I have no interest in it.

I have absolutely no interest in all the tree-hugging, green, bull****.

 

for me, the soul of the evo is in the sound of the engine and particularly the turbo!!!

I'm not a fan of electric vehicles.

 

if the evo does disapear, they will replace it with something better..trust me
