If Mitsubishi would give us that car, I would sell my Evo right now and buy one. Imagine, a WRC based Evo, something light, small and fun.

i dont care if it comes with 450whp and gets 60mpg its still hideous and non sporty. i cant imagine its targeted for the same market as the "evos" we are accustomed to. with that said it probably does have its place in the current market for those people who would consider a yaris, fit, aveo or any other small hatch for that matter and for those people maybe a reasonably quick, economic little sh*tbox would be a cool option

I don't think this is the only other car with the evo badge. Pretty sure in Canada they had a galant evolution. At least that's what peoe we got the motor from told us. I had 16g stock sk it definitely wasn't out of an usdm car

What market is that? People who love awd, F/I, light, great handling cars would have no interest in this? I think you are underestimating demand. I also think your description of "reasonably quick, economic little ****box" could be used to describe the evo to many people. Not sure where all the hate is coming from.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. some people who love those things may be interested in this however I love all those things and have no interest in it, at least in terms of replacing my "evolution". I dont feel its a competitive car in that aspect. If it came in a better looking package and was a coupe or sedan it may compete with civics and tc's and cars like that based on performance, though in my opinion its looks alone would push me more towards other options. If I had a yaris or other small commuter car, sure this seems way cooler than most of those, it could probably dominate that market and I would definitely consider it. touche to ignorant people thinking the evo is an economic ****box though. I dont think I intended as much hate as you interpreted.

To clarify, I was referring to this car, and not the one in the OP. The one in the OP looks like a blobfish.

Car I like:

I think the Mirage offers another option for a company that needs more offerings. Furthermore, the design and small lightweight offers some advantages, like huge mpg without hybrid cost or heavy battery packs that loose charge. A Ralliart or Evolution version word be fun. Check even Rallies catalog of oem option parts (a lack SPT like Subaru) like a front lip, ask kit or intake would spice up a fun car for those who want some fun in commuter car or for those who can't afford an evo.
