Mitsubishi Mirage...EVOLUTION?!
I did a 0-60 calculator online for the specs and it's an estimated 6.3 seconds. Not too bad actually. It won't compete with the Focus ST, the Focus ST competes with the real Evos. It will compete with the Fiesta, Yaris, Mazda2, and cars in that class if anything. These will be very small cars, man

I think they should make this a Mirage Ralliart, I'm not sure it's worthy of the "Evolution" title. They also need to make it look like the Colt Ralliart in Japan. That thing is like a mini-evo
Now, if I recall correctly, 2/3 years ago Mitsu said the Evo was no more... meaning the next Evo was probably going to be a bigger, more grown up, Grand Tourer, albeit with a different name!

Then a year ago another news network (might have been autoblog or autocar UK) said the Lancer was shrinking in size... which means, oh sht... think about it, put 2 and 2 together... maybe the Mirage Evolution is the replacement to the Evo we know, and the next Evo will be bigger, bulkier, heavier, faster, more upmarket...
I don't kno... wtf... whatever, lets see if Mitsu says a word or two next month at Geneva... honestly they need to show us something, everyone and their mother is showing new concepts and what not, they need to show something, or they will continue to remain irrelevant and unheard of in the automotive news networks

Edit: Yes they have two concepts ready for Geneva, but nothing points to a new Lancer and/or Evo for that matter!

Who are the hybrid Porches 911 target audience?
Who are the hybrid Impreza WRX STI target audience(still in project)?
etc...
From what I understand, the XI would not be a pure economy car. Mitshu aims for making it go green by reduce the CO2, NO2.... emission from the car. However, it will use a large amount of electricity compare to non sporty hybrid car. I can foresee that the car can save money on gas but not on electricity.
The main idea is to Go Green, but not to save money on source.
Some people may argue that battery would cause more environment problem from other aspect. However, hybrid does help solving global warming in the short term.
I can't of like the idea of the hybrid EVO. The power is more than enough For Me if it can actually go from 0 to 60 in 5 second like what Mitsub said. I know I am not in the majority. However, I am drive a fast car and going green in the meantime. It is just an ethical issue, and probably not for people who prefer petrol cars or don't care about environment.
Anyways, technology is improving fast. Super fast hybrid cars have already existed. I don't see why the hybrid car can not be mod for fast at a later time.
