'05 EVO's will be here before '05!
Hey guys,
All 2005 models of the Evolution VIII will be here before 2005 comes around. Anytime between September and December. Word? |

They have barely released the 2004 models. What businessman in the right state of mind would overlap the 2004 production line with 2005's? -Hmmm...... Once again, I tip my hat for all your efforts in bashing, but I go by the word of facts and simple paper that comes from trees.

I apologize for giving you false information prior to this post. However, I am only relaying information from our Corporate Representative. It is Mitsubishi whom decides to give us this information. Today, on the otherhand, I have been voluntarily told by the rep that we will have them here sometime between September and December. Again, I apologize for giving you 0-day information.

To break up any spats before they start...
What dizzigital is saying is true. Dealers are already getting their commitment sheets in which 2005 Evolutions are included. I'm assuming this means they'll go on the July ordering sheets. I have confirmed this myself with three seperate dealerships. The dealership I'm ordering from (where I got my Eclipse) expects my car to arrive in the September to October timeframe. |

So they have a long 2003 model year and a very short 2004 model year. Nice.
|
What is the 2005 EVO model going to have that is different from the 04 assuming the 05 EVO is not an MR or are the 05 EVO's only MR's ?

I think Subaru did the same thing with the WRXs. the 2002's were out for a while and the 2003's were only around for a few months only to have the remodeled 2004's come out soon after with the STi. My buddy got his 2004 STi in July of 03. |
Almost every company does that. Example: The 05 Mustang is coming out on September 22, 2004. I would be surprised if Mitsu DIDN'T sell the 05 Evo before 05.

I believe the EVO's are 6 months behind a "normal" production cycle. |
That is what I was saying 2003 Evos came out in spring of 2003 not fall 2002 like most 03 models. Then the 2004 come out even later into 04 but now the 05's are coming in Nov-Dec 04. That is a short model year, but Subaru did do that too when the released the STi and redesigned front end WRX.

I got this: (referring to the MR):
Hi Paul, I was expecting them in the middle of this month, but it looks like they will be here around the first of July. You can come in and put a down payment to secure one. Let me know if you are interested in doing that and we can go over the details Thanks, |
^^^that dealer is shady. there's no way the 05's are coming in july. we'll be lucky if the dealers get order forms in july.
