i was planning on getting a utec in the future to tune my car. i just read that it has no a/f ratio control though. so i'll have to get a separate a/f controller, right?
are there any other piggyback options that do have a/f control?

You can control fuel and timing just fine with the UTEC.

 

That is completely untrue.. you can control your air-fuel mixture with the UTEC, HOWEVER you will need a wideband O2 sensor to adjust it appropriately if you intend to do it yourself, your tuner will be able to do it for you with his own wideband setup..

The UTEC can do Fuel, Timing, and Boost, it has Injector scaling, and with Open Loop Fuel control you can eliminate boost/fuel cut, and set your rev limiter...

the UTEC is currently the ONLY Piggyback that can bypass fuel cut and rev limiters without a reflash, use closed loop boost control with the stock boost solenoid, and directly control timing.

All the other piggyback products function by tricking, clamping, desensitising, or offsetting sensors...
