Utec timing stage 2 -100?

Utech timing: I'm trying to figure out why Turbo xs wants you to use -100 on the stage2 map. Is there something special about -100? I can't get my utec to accept -100 only -99 and it runs like crap on that. It seems to like +20? just trying to understand how all this is working so I don't mess anything up to bad.

TurboXS wants:

-100= ECU. Try inserting ECU in the fields to fix it.

I did leave it as ecu but the car ran bad with 0 or ecu in that field. I ended up with +20 in those fields it seems to run ok with no lean spots egts about 750-820c

That log appears normal to me. In the UTEC you should see ECU in those blocks but when you dload or uload a map, thats what you'll see.

Yah -100 is the "Map file" representation of an ECU Passthrough.. it means the stock ECU is operating on that load cell..

You can't just Edit the text maps.. it has a checksum to prevent it from getting corrupt.. In the Hyperterminal Map editor.. type E for ECU... -100 or 100 won't work since they don't represent anything.. But -100 is a reserved number to represent the ECU passthrough.

and using -99 is basically killing your ignition, 99 degrees before TDC... You'd likely trigger a check engine light if you did that..
